As we embark on another journey of remote learning, we wanted to update you on the changes we have made to ensure your children are getting the best possible standard of education at home and you as parents and careers are getting as much support as possible during these very challenging and uncertain times.
Each class will be receiving mainly live lessons via Zoom every day, as we believe that having this contact with the class teachers is so important . There will also be some recorded lessons and some lessons from other providers which will be available via TEAMS. Any other additional work or supporting materials will also be available via TEAMS.
Your child will receive live guided reading, English and maths as standard, following what they would have been doing if they were in school. There will also be a mix of science and other foundation subjects such as History, Geography, Music, RE or project work. Even during this remote learning period we believe that reading is a crucial part of the curriculum and therefor will continue with our daily DEAL (Drop Everything and Listen) sessions where the class teacher will read to the children either live via Zoom or through a recorded lesson via TEAMS. The children who are in school as they are vulnerable or have a critical worker place will receive the same teaching and same lessons as those participating in Remote Learning.
Please access the year group pages to find the timetable for the week so will know what your children will be doing at each point during the day. We have also indicated where the lesson will be delivered live via Zoom or recorded and shared via TEAMS. In addition to these daily lessons, the TT Rockstars and Spelling Shed activities will continue to be set.
