The Breakfast Club will run during term time (excluding Altofts Junior School inset days) from 8am to 8:45am. Breakfast will be served up to 8:25am. Children who are left to wait for Breakfast Club to open are left entirely at their parent’s responsibility. Infant school children should not be left unaccompanied before 8am.
A register of attendance will be kept. Children should arrive at the Breakfast Club before 8:15am and report to the shared area.
The cost of Breakfast Club will be £2.50 per session for pupils at Altofts Junior School and £3.00 per session for pupils at Lee Brigg and Martin Frobisher Infant Schools. This includes breakfast and supervised activities and escorted walk for infant children. There are 3 payment options:
- To pay on each day that is attended.
- Pay on the first day of the week for all sessions to be attended that week.
- Pay half-termly on the first day for all sessions to be attended that half-term.
PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED IN ADVANCE OF SESSIONS ATTENDED NOT IN ARREARS.
Upon joining the Breakfast Club, parents/carers are asked to provide their home, mobile and work telephone numbers along with any names and contact numbers of other responsible adults who may be contacted in case of sickness or injury to the child. Experience has shown that it is better to send an unwell child home rather than try to cope in the school situation. Similarly, with a suspected accidental injury it is better to err on the side of safely first. It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to make sure that Breakfast Club is informed of any changes to emergency contact details.
